Love Potion
A 4 track house single (21m 50s) — released June 13th 2011 on Leng Records
On this latest release Leng state their proper intent by delving deeper into electronic club territory with a new EP from Rhythm Odyssey.
Rhythm Odyssey is none other than Dean Meredith aka Chicken Lips, a UK house hero from way before the last two ‘Old School’ revivals. Title track
‘Love Potion’ puts you at the dark end of a smoky room and pounds you with a dense punch of kick drum, an itchy shuffle and an acid bassline straight from the Transmat school, and then into pads and piano line and you’re back in the warehouse. ‘See In The Light’ gives us a similar ride all be it with a heftier acid bounce, swampy tempo and wonky keyboard workout.
‘Dub Potion’ heads straight into the acidics for a slightly more intense ride while ‘Drum Potion’ offers up some awesome phased hats over a heady drum machine workout.
Again this man pulls out another winner as he been doing for more than twenty years, with all the knowledge distilled back to its rawest components.
